LEV-1 development team wins best paper award at the 29th Robotics Symposia!

The LEV-1 development team led by Project Manager Masaharu Kunii and others has won the best paper award at the 29th Robotics Symposia (robotics-symposia.org). The Robotics Symposia awards is given to the best presentations from among the papers presented at Robotics Symposia. In general, one best paper award and two outstanding paper awards are conferred each year.

The Robotics Symposia conducts stringent full paper reviews, and since the presentation times are lengthy, all of the papers presented (around 100) are of a high level. The best paper award is selected from among the outstanding papers, making it a prestigious honor.

The members of the LEV-1 development team include PI Tetsuo Yoshimitsu from the Moonshot Kunii Project, Masatsugu Otsuki, Atsushi Tomiki and Naoto Usami (all from the JAXA Institute of Space and Astronautical Science), PI Takao Maeda (Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology) and PI Tomoyuki Hirose (Digital Spice, Co., Ltd.), demonstrating how the DNA of LEV-1 will be continually passed on to future generations.
