Dr. KUNII, Project Manager (PM) of the MS Kunii Project will appear on NHK General TV’s “Let’s Meet at the Frontier! ” RED, which is currently under development, will also be featured in the studio, and viewers will be able to watch its driving and hopping tests conducted in a simulated lunar environment.

Program Overview:
As the future of “living on the Moon” draws closer, countries around the world are accelerating the development of lunar exploration robots. Amid this global competition, Japan has attracted international attention by entering the race with technologies built upon its own unique strengths. That specialty is transformable miniature robots. In addition to combining and transforming, these robots can also perform coordinated operations by moving in formation. Moreover, a special location on the Moon has been identified where these robots could play an important role.
