Collaboration in Research and Development for Lunar and Planetary Exploration / Formation of the Industry-Academia Co-Creation Space Distributed Intelligence Robotics Consortium.
2026.5.21
We have formed the “Industry-Academia Co-Creation Space Distributed Intelligence Robotics Consortium.” Would you like to join us as a partner in advancing research and development for lunar and planetary exploration? Building on the achievements of LEV-1, the small rover that actually operated on the Moon, we will conduct research and development on robotics powered by distributed intelligence for space exploration.
The consortium aims to bring together and coordinate the technologies, knowledge, products, facilities, experience, and other resources possessed by its members, focusing primarily on hardware, software, control systems, communications, and other related technologies for small AI robots. At the same time, it also encompasses intellectual property, legal affairs, regulatory systems, standardization, ethics, ELSI (Ethical, Legal, and Social Issues), governance, and other related fields concerning space utilization. Through mutual collaboration and complementarity, the consortium seeks to promote participation in and realization of missions in outer space, as well as the terrestrial application and social implementation of related technologies, and the development of the social and institutional foundations that support these objectives.
The consortium rules and membership application form can be obtained from the links below. We warmly invite you to join this consortium. For inquiries and applications, please contact the secretariat at ms03kunii_team_pm-grp@g.chuo-u.ac.jp. We look forward to collaborating with you.
