The Moonshot R&D Program Goal 3 Project exhibited at 2024 IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Automation (ICRA), an international conference.
This was the first conference for me to take part in as a university research administrator, or URA (think of it not as the ura meaning “bay” in Japanese but as the ura meaning “behind the scenes”).
It was such an international atmosphere! (which makes sense—it was an “international conference” after all!) But I am Japanese. And so I was up there giving our presentation in a Japanese happi coat!
Maybe that was why our booth was packed with visitors every day. This was a conference where you could really feel the intense anticipation for small swarm robots exploring the Moon!
