We have exhibited at Japan International Aerospace Exhibition 2024.
With the lunar landing of SLIM in January and the successful activities of the LEV-1 and LEV-2 robots, we were a great hit! That may have been because an actual flight model of LEV-1 was on display.
The model is a twin of LEV-1, which went to the moon. This counterpart model remained on Earth after being “beaten to a pulp” from rigorous testing, and many visitors were eager to take photos of it.
Some of the elementary schools students explained about the LEV-1 and SLIM projects in better detail than I even knew myself, and I invited them to join me in robot R&D in the future. In addition, a famous cat-like figure appeared (no, not Dorae*** character but Space Something or Other Kotetsu-kun)!
